This is always the tricky bit writing about me. Well, I'm probably a lot like you.

Over the years I have found myself doing all sorts of things for work. Quite often doing things that fitted in with family life whether it be playgroup supervisor, teaching assistant or running my own mobile creche. Then, as my children became more independent I took the opportunity to train in something that I had always been interested in and now had the time to go back to college .

I started my therapy career as a beauty therapist 20 years ago and opened my own salon 2 years later which with an amazing team ran for 16 years. And possibly like you I juggled running a business, family and helping to care for my elderly parents.

After selling the salon (to my manager)I decided to take a slight detour on my career path and set up Compassionate Touch freelancing in residential care homes, giving massage to people on their Dementia journey, Parkinson's disease and those living with learning disabilities. Such a joy. I was also lucky enough to be taken on as a volunteer therapist in the day care unit of a local hospice treating patients with terminal illnesses. This all stopped abruptly like the rest of the world in March 2020. Time for another detour! Which is how my private therapy room at my home in the beautiful New Forest, came into being.

I sincerely believe that our bodies carry our physical, mental, and emotional scars within their structure. Sometimes we hold on to issues that eventually manifest as aches, pains, stress, anxiety, sleep issues, causing us to feel down. This is your body telling you that something is wrong and it is time you looked after you and your needs. You are always putting everyone else first, whether it is children or elderly parents and work too of course, and actually your body is telling you it is time to invest in yourself.

As a firm believer in Continuing Professional Development, and in order to be the best that I can for my clients I regularly attend courses and workshops in my own, and related fields, and have been a member the Jing JAMMM since the Covid19 pandemic hit, learning to take my skills online.

I am trained in a range of safe and effective soft tissue and massage techniques to treat a range of pain conditions including low back pain, neck pain, headaches whiplash, RSI, Fibromyalgia and many other ongoing injury or pain conditions.

I use a warm and heart centred approach that takes full account of all your physical and emotional needs when planning your bespoke treatment and am committed to working with you to get the results you need.

Accessibility is important, my domestic therapy room in the village of Bartley, is on the ground floor with plenty of off road parking.

I offer appointments most days so that appointments fit round your busy schedule.
